Love and terrorism in Quebec.
An American man goes to Canada to study French and finds Quebec City thrilling, cosmopolitan, French speaking, and exactly what he has been looking for to compliment his American university study and remain on the North American continent so he can visit New York and Boston, too. He doesn't tour those cities because he meets a beautiful woman from Toronto that wants to spend time with him. They go out most afternoons to cozy little bistros, walking around the old city and enjoying each other's company for hours and hours at a time. Then, things begin to happen. He decides he wants to marry Yordest and that is where the fairy tale ends. He tries to find another girlfriend through a series of relationships. Alone again, he drives out of the city searching for a glimpse of the American President of the United States headed for a summit. He finds Yordest again with another man that means to assassinate the President. Yordest is an undercover Canadian Mounted Policewoman and attempts to arrest the terrorist she has been investigating. The arrest goes wrong and the American and Yordest must quickly escape or be killed themselves. They run across jagged ice when a bridge is sabotaged. The American encounters the radical terrorist many more times in the city until the terrorist is finally shot dead at the US/Canadian border.
